J.H. WHARTON

James Wharton taught himself to read and write at the age of 42 whilst bringing up eight children and running his own business — a business he built up from scratch.

His first book Our Daily Bread took five years to complete, writing every day in longhand. Classed as dyslexic he has written eight books to date.

James lives in Ilfracombe caring for his wife of 55 years and his Basset Hound. He says that writing is the only thing that keeps him sane.
